Blackberry is a symbol for death, pain, remorse, grief, and lowliness in Europe. However, it also stands as a symbol of God's voice and divine love to the Hebrews. The leaf, root, and fruit (berry) are used to make medicine. Blackberry is used for treating diarrhoea, fluid retention, diabetes, gout, and pain and swelling (inflammation); and for preventing cancer and heart disease. It is also used as a mouth rinse for mild mouth and throat irritation

In the craft it used in workings directed to healing, protection, attract wealth.
